Joy Kardish was born on July 29, 1950. She is a member of the Nepean Fine Arts League (NAL) and the Ottawa Mixed-Media Association (OMMA). At the 2002 Annual General Meeting of the Nepean Fine Arts League, Joy received honourable mention in the mixed media category. In April 2004, Joy was accepted into the first juried exhibition of the OMMA. She won an Award of Excellence. In May 2004, at the Members Night for the Nepean Fine Arts League, Joy received an Award of Excellence in mixed media. Joy’s work has been recognized by the International Society of Experimental Artist (ISEA) as having exceptional experimental qualities. Joy has exhibited her work at Café Comus (Almonte), Centerpointe Theatre, Britannia Gallery, Nepean Visual Arts Centre, and Rasputin’s. She is now showing at the Dale Smith Gallery in Ottawa. Joy is exhibiting exclusively at Dale Smith Gallery.
